Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing continues in Windsor-Essex

School communities in Windsor-Essex are invited to another round of asymptomatic testing for COVID-19.

The two English-language school boards in the region, and the two French-language boards, are once again teaming up with LifeLabs to provide free, voluntary testing for students, teachers, and school staff.

This week's clinic will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Holy Names Catholic High School, located at 1400 Northwood Street in Windsor.

Schools in and around the N9E postal code will be the focus this week. Any member of the school community without symptoms and wants to be tested may have it done.

The schools included in this clinic are Vincent Massey Secondary School, Southwood Public School, Holy Names High School, École Secondaire Catholique E.J. Lajeunesse, Christ the King Catholic School, Notre Dame Catholic School, St. Gabriel Catholic School, and École Elémentaire Catholique Sainte-Ursule.

Other schools are École Elémentaire Catholique Mgr-Jean-Noël, Northwood Public School, Glenwood Public School, Central Public School, Bellewood Public School, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School.

The timetable is as follows. The clinic is walk-in only, but parents are asked to be mindful of the schedule.

  • 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. - School staff
  • 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. - Surname beginning with letter A
  • 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. - Surname beginning with letter B
  • 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. - Surname beginning with letter C or D
  • 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. - Surname beginning with letter E, F or G
  • 11:30 – 12:00 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter H, I or J
  • 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter K or L
  • 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter M or N
  • 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter O, P or Q
  • 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter R or S
  • 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter T, U or V
  • 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. - Surname beginning with letter W, X, Y or Z
A parent or guardian will need to provide consent for any student under the age of 18.

Any student, teacher, or staff member who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 is asked not to attend the clinic but to call their health care provider for further instructions.
