Met Campus assessment centre open all week

Demand for testing hasn't really increased, but Windsor Regional Hospital is keeping the COVID-19 assessment centre at its Met Campus open Monday to Friday this week.

The hours are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The assessment centre at the Ouellette Campus will remain open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"Windsor Regional Hospital is keeping COVID-19 assessment centres open to ensure same-day testing remains available for symptomatic patients requiring tests as variants of concern continue to rise in circulation in our community," read a statement from the hospital.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the hospital has adjusted the hours of operation at the centres from time to time based on demand for testing.

However, it shut the assessment centre at the Met Campus down a few months ago before opening it again for three days over the Spring Break. It was open three days last week too.
