Active COVID infections below 70 in Sarnia-Lambton

The active COVID-19 case count in Sarnia-Lambton has dropped below 70.

Lambton Public Health reported eight new confirmed cases Tuesday for a total of 3,198 since the start of the pandemic. Cases considered resolved went up 14 to 3,073, dropping the number of active infections by six to 69.

The number of workplace and institutional outbreaks is unchanged at four.

Bluewater Health had 10 COVID-positive patients in hospital, down two from Monday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
