Just two new COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth

Huron Perth Public Health reported just two newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, in Huron East and North Huron.

There are now 76 active cases, including 49 variants of concern. Two people are in hospital. 194 people are self-isolating.

Only Goderich , Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh and Morris Turnberry currently have no active cases,

In all, there have now been a total of 1,601 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Huron Perth, including 55 fatalities.

Just over 27 per cent of all cases are are related to outbreaks, about 18% are traced to close contacts. 1.2 % of cases were travel related, but the origin of more than 25% of cases is unknown.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
