Four new COVID-19 cases in Wellington County

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 17 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, four of them in Wellington.

There are 30 active cases in Wellington. four in Mapleton, and two in Wellington North.

The pandemic has now claimed 38 lives in Wellington.

Across the jurisdiction, there are eight people in hospital, and another six in the ICU. There is one workplace outbreak.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
