Two new COVID-19 cases in Grey Bruce

Just two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Wednesday in Grey Bruce. The Health Unit reports 13 active cases, seven of them variants of concern.

There are 44 high risk contacts, and three residents are in hospital with the virus. There have been1,348 confirmed cases, and 1,328 resolved cases.

Five residents passed away with the virus, and another two residents with COVID-19 died outside of the region.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
