Active COVID-19 cases up to 39

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has gone up by four and one more COVID-19 patient is being treated at Bluewater Health.

Lambton Public Health reported nine new COVID-19 infections on Saturday and five recoveries.

The active case count is now up to 39.

There have been a total of 3,521 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton since the beginning of the pandemic. There have also been a total of 3,421 resolved cases.

The number of total deaths related to COVID-19 remains at 61 and there are no active outbreaks in the region.

Bluewater Health is now caring for four COVID-19 patients. The number of hospitalizations was previously at three since Thursday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
