Heat warning issued for parts of Southwestern Ontario

If you're going outside this weekend, be sure to keep hydrated.

Environment Canada issued a heat warning for Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton on Saturday with daytime highs expected to reach 31 C to 33 C over the weekend and on Monday.

The weather agency said the hot and humid air could also cause deteriorating air quality.

Those at the greatest risk include young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Residents are encouraged to drink water and reduce heat risk by scheduling outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.

A heat warning was also issued for Windsor and Essex County on Friday.
