Chatham woman wins $100K on scratch ticket

A Chatham hairstylist has big plans after winning $100,000 on a scratch ticket.

According to the OLG, 51-year-old Tracy Brinton won the prize on the new $5 Instant Plinko.

Brinton said she was at home playing the game when she discovered that she was a winner and added that she was in disbelief when she realized just how much she had won.

"I play the lottery regularly," she said. "This ticket is special because the winning numbers are the same amount of years I've been married for."

Brinton said she plans on spending her winnings on home renovations and saving for a retirement fund.

$5 Instant Plinko combines scratch to play with prizes revealed in-store on the lottery terminal screen and potentially, the chance to drop a chip on a real Plinko Board at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky 7 Variety on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.
