New COVID-19 cases remain low in Midwestern Ontario

The number of new cases of COVID-19 in Midwestern Ontario continues to decline.

Huron Perth Public Health added three new cases of COVID-19 Monday.  There are 31 active cases, 18 of them variants of concern. One resident is in hospital with the virus.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added just one new case of COVID-19 Monday.  There are 21 active cases, of which, six are variants of concern. There are no Grey Bruce residents in hospital with COVID-19.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 36 new cases Monday, three of them in wellington county. There has been an additional fatality in Wellington, bringing the total deaths due to the virus to 40 in Wellington.  There are 24 active cases in Wellington, four of them in Wellington North. There are no active cases in Minto or Mapleton right now.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
