Active COVID-19 case count below 30

Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID-19 case count has dropped below 30.

Lambton Public Health on Tuesday reported the number of confirmed infections, since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, has dropped by two to 3,526.

Eight more cases have been deemed resolved for a total of 3,428, lowering the number of active cases by 10 to 27.

The local death toll is unchanged at 61 and there are no workplace or institutional outbreaks reported.

Bluewater Health has five COVID-positive patients in hospital, unchanged from Monday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
