Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Grey Bruce Wednesday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added two new cases of COVID-9 Wednesday, for a total of 21 active cases. The new cases were located in Hanover and Huron Kinloss.

There have been 396 variants of concern detected in the two counties, and four of them are active.

There are 44 high risk contacts. Currently there are no residents hospitalized with the virus.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
