Sarnia-Lambton active COVID-19 case count holding steady

Lambton Public Health reported just one new confirmed case of COVID-19 Friday.

In its daily update, the health unit said since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, there have been 3,537 confirmed cases of  the virus. Cases considered resolved went up by two to 3,447, lowering the active case count by one to 29.

There has not been a workplace or institutional outbreak since June 1st.

Bluewater Health had six COVID-positive patients in hospital, unchanged from Thursday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
