Active COVID-19 cases continue downward trend

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has gradually dropped throughout the week and is now at 28.

Lambton Public Health reported five new cases of the virus on Saturday for a total of 3,542 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.

Six resolved cases were also reported which brings the total number of recoveries to 3,453.

The number of COVID-19 patients at Bluewater Health remains at six.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
