Grey Bruce Health Unit adds ten cases of COVID-19 Wednesday

On Wednesday, the Grey Bruce Health Unit reported ten new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours.

There are 53 active cases, including one active variant of concern.

One resident is hospitalized in the region with the virus, and another resident with the virus is hospitalized outside of the region.

In all there have been 1,409 confirmed cases of the virus.

In Bruce County, there is at least one active case in every municipality except Northern Bruce Peninsula. In Grey, there are active cases in Owen Sound, Grey Highlands, West Grey, Hanover, Georgian Bluffs and Chatsworth.

121,415 total doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
