Six cases of COVID-19 added in Grey Bruce Monday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added six new cases of COVID-19 Monday, two in Owen Sound, and one in Brockton, Hanover, Arran Elderslie, and Blue Mountains.

There are 42 active cases, none of them variants of concern.

Two residents with the virus are hospitalized in Grey Bruce, and one resident is in hospital with COVID-19 outside of the region.

Seven residents with the virus have passed away since the pandemic began.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
