15 new COVID-19 cases added in Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added 15 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, eight in Owen Sound. There were two cases in Hanover, two in West Grey, and one in Meaford, Brockton, and one in Chatsworth.

There are now 46 active cases but no active variants of concern.  There are 132 high-risk contacts.

Four residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19. There are no active COVID-19 outbreaks.

On Wednesday the Grey Bruce Health Unit reported the end of a COVID-19 outbreak identified in a rooming facility in Hanover. The outbreak was first declared on June 3, 2021, and the facility had been closed since then with residents and high-risk contacts required to self-isolate.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
