Active COVID infections up six in Sarnia-Lambton

Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID-19 caseload has gone up for the second day in a row.

Lambton Public Health reported nine new cases Thursday, for a total of 3,580 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic in March, 2020.

Three more cases were deemed resolved up to 3,481, increasing the active case count by six to 37.

Since March 3, the number of infections involving variants of concern has reached 630.

The health unit said there are no active outbreaks.

Bluewater Health had seven COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
