COVID-19 infections climb in Grey Bruce, but stable in Perth Huron and Wellington

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 23 new cases of COVID-19 Friday. There are 76 active cases, including five variants. Seven residents are hospitalized with the virus.

Huron Perth public Health added just one new case of COVID-19 Friday, in Howick Township.  There are ten active cases, including two variants of concern. One person is hospitalized with the virus. About 72.3% of eligible residents have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and about 23.4% have two.

Public Health officials in Wellington County added no new cases today and reported nine active cases. Across Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health, there were nine new cases added Friday. Four residents are in the ICU with the virus.  76% of eligible residents have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and over 27% have two doses.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
