One new COVID case reported, active infections down two

Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 caseload has reached 3,600 since the start of the pandemic over a year ago.

Lambton Public Health reported one new confirmed case of the virus Tuesday, and three more cases are considered resolved for a total of 3,500. That lowers the number of active infections by two to 38.

The death toll is unchanged at 62 and there is one institutional outbreak.

Bluewater Health had two COVID-positive patients in hospital, down from three on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
