Eight new cases of COVID-19 in Midwestern Ontario Wednesday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added five new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, in Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs, Hanover, Kincardine, and Saugeen Shores. . There are 49 active cases, and six residents are in hospital with the virus.

Huron Perth Public health added just one new case of COVID-19 Wednesday, in Stratford. There are eight active cases.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added two new cases of COVID-19, both of of them in Wellington. There five are active cases in Wellington County, one of them in Minto.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
