Seven new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario Thursday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added three new cases of COVID-19, in Owen Sound, Grey Highlands and Southgate. There are 48 active cases. Five residents are hospitalized.

Huron Perth Public health added three new COVID-19 infections Thursday, one in Perth South and two in Stratford. There are now eleven active cases.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added five new cases of the novel coronavirus, one of them in Wellington. There are six active cases in Wellington County, including one in Minto. Across Wellington, Dufferin Guelph, one person is in the ICU with the virus.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
