Two new cases of COVID-19 reported

Lambton Public Health reported two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.

In its daily update, the health unit said the number of infections reported in Sarnia-Lambton since the start of the pandemic has reached 3,640.

The number of resolved cases increased by one to 3,570, and the death toll is unchanged at 68, resulting in two active cases.

There are no institutional or workplace outbreaks reported, and Bluewater Health had no COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
