Sarnia-Lambton COVID caseload up one

Lambton Public Health reported one more case of COVID-19 Friday, putting the active case count at three.

Since the pandemic started in March 2020, there have been 3,641 confirmed cases of the virus in Sarnia-Lambton, of which 3,570 have been deemed resolved.

There are no positive patients in hospital according to Bluewater Health and no active outbreaks.

Lambton Public Health said 854 COVID-19 tests were administered the week of July 25 to 31.

The positivity rate went up to 0.82 per cent from 0.36 per cent the week before.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
