Sarnia-Lambton COVID caseload unchanged

There was no change to the COVID-19 caseload in Sarnia-Lambton Saturday.

Lambton Public Health reported that since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, there have been 3,641 confirmed cases of the virus, of which 3,570 have been deemed resolved, leaving the active case count at three.

There have been 68 COVID-related deaths locally, the most recent was reported on July 24.

There are no active workplace or institutional outbreaks.

As of Friday there were no COVID-positive patients in hospital. Bluewater Health does not issue daily reports on weekends.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
