COVID-19 claims another life in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Health Unit says the death toll from COVID-19 increased by one, with a total of 21 fatalities now attributed to the virus. The Health Unit reported two new cases Wednesday in Owen Sound and Kincardine. There are still 37 active cases in the region. Six residents are hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health is reporting one resident is hospitalized with COVID- 19. There were five new cases in the region, but none in Wellington County. Minto has one of the two active cases in Wellington.

Huron Perth Public Health added three new cases, two in Stratford and one in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. There are 17 active cases. No residents are hospitalized with the virus.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
