A handful of new COVID-19 cases Thursday in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported two new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, in Brockton and Meaford. There are 31 active cases.

Huron Perth Public Health added cases in St. Marys, Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh and North Perth Thursday. There are 16 active cases.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added twelve new cases, one of them in Wellington. There are three active cases in Wellington County.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
