Charges laid in homicide investigation

Two people have been charged in connection to the death of a Windsor man after his remains were found on Walpole Island First Nation in March.

Under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, Lambton County OPP, Walpole Island First Nation Police, and Windsor Police Service arrested two people on Friday.

Thirty-one-year-old Rolf Rodley Agard of Windsor and 40-year-old Dwayne Jahton Blair of Scarborough have both been charged with first-degree murder.

A homicide investigation was launched after human remains found on Walpole Island were identified as 25-year-old Oyebode Oyenuga of Windsor. Oyenuga was reported missing in February.

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia at a later date and are currently being held in custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
