Two new COVID-19 cases reported in Sarnia-Lambton

There are now 19 active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton, which is an increase of one from Monday.

Lambton Public Health reported two new cases and one recovery on Tuesday.

There have been 3,676 confirmed cases in the region since the start of the pandemic and 3,589 resolved cases.

The local death toll is unchanged at 68 and there are no active outbreaks.

Bluewater Health reported one COVID-19 patient in hospital.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
