Active COVID case count unchanged

Lambton Public Health reported one new case of COVID-19 Friday.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, there have been 3,682 confirmed cases of the virus. The death toll increased by one to 69.

Thursday, Bluewater Health reported the latest death linked to the virus was a man in his 70s.

There was no change to the number of resolved cases at 3,593, and the active case count is holding at 20.

There are no active workplace or institutional outbreaks.

Bluewater Health had no COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
