Active COVID-19 cases down three

Lambton Public Health reported Sunday one new case of  COVID-19 and four cases deemed resolved, dropping the number of active infections by three to 17.

The local death toll remains at 69 and there are no active outbreaks.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020, there have been 3,688 confirmed cases with 3,602 recoveries in Sarnia-Lambton.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
