UPDATE: Thunderstorms likely for southwestern Ontario

It was a very wet and rainy Sunday for most of southwestern Ontario.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton and London-Middlesex early Sunday evening.

As of 6 p.m., Environment Canada said meteorologists were tracking a line of thunderstorms over Lake Huron that is moving east at 60 kilometres per hour.

The weather agency said the severe thunderstorms were capable of producing strong wind gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour, large hail up to two centimetres, and heavy rain up to 50 millimetres within one hour.

A heat warning also remains in effect for the southwestern Ontario region.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
