Two new COVID cases reported, one recovery

Lambton Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.

In its daily update, the health unit reported the caseload since the start of the pandemic has reached 3,698. The number of resolved cases increased by one to 3,618, resulting in 11 active infections, up one from Sunday.

There have been 69 local deaths linked to the virus since March 2020.

There are no active outbreaks and Bluewater Health has no COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
