If you can't vote on September 20 or have already made up your mind who you'll vote for and don't want to wait, you can cast your ballot early.
Advance polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday across the country.
By now, electors should have received their voter information cards. It will tell you where you can vote. You can also visit elections.ca or call 1-800-463-6868.
If you have not, you should contact the Elections Canada Office in your electoral district.
Unlike the provincial election process, electors must cast their vote at their assigned polling location.
"For months, we have been working with public health authorities to deliver a safe in-person voting experience for Canadians," said Chief Electoral Officer Stephane Perrault.
Elections Canada strongly encourages voters to wear a face mask at the polling location, even in jurisdictions that do not require them. Those who forget to bring one will be offered a mask. Only those with a medical exemption will not be required to wear one.
There will be hand sanitizing stations at entrances and exits at the polling station, work stations will be cleaned frequently, and there will be signs to remind electors to physically distance themselves.
If you can not vote in person because you are self-isolating or do not wish to visit a polling location, you can also vote by mail. Information about that method is available online and by calling 1-800-463-6868. The deadline to apply to vote by mail is Tuesday, September 14, at 6 p.m.
You can also cast your ballot at any Elections Canada Office.
The agency recommends bringing your voter identification card with you to the poll, but it is not required. Voters will have to provide proof of their identity and address.
Election Day is September 20.
