Positive case of COVID-19 at Tecumseh Public School

Chatham-Kent Public Health is reporting one active case of COVID-19 at an elementary school in the municipality.

The health unit began notifying staff and students at Tecumseh Public School of the confirmed case on Sunday. At this time, the school board has not released the number of students and staff who have been in close contact with the infected individual.

The health unit said only students who have been notified have been in close contact with the confirmed case.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
