UPDATE: Two more local elementary schools report COVID cases

Lambton Public Health reported four new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, there have been 3,729 confirmed infections reported in Sarnia-Lambton. The health unit reported three more resolved cases, up to 3,630, increasing the active case count by one to 30.

Bluewater Health has two COVID-positive patients in hospital, up one in the last 24 hours.

The Lambton Kent District School Board is reporting two student cases at Queen Elizabeth II Public School in Petrolia, and one staff member at Colonel Cameron Public School in Corunna has tested positive for the virus. Both schools remain open.

There are two area elementary schools with the St.Clair Catholic District School Board reporting one student case.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
