UPDATE: Fire crews respond to house fire near Thamesville

The damages are estimated at $250,000 after a house fire near Thamesville Thursday afternoon.

Fire crews were called to the structure at 29657 Zone Road 4 when a fire broke out just after 3 p.m. Thamesville Fire Station 8, Bothwell Station 9, and Oxford Station 10 all responded to the scene. Fire officials asked residents to avoid the area while they worked to put out the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire.

In an update later Thursday evening, Fire Public Educator Whitney Burke said a cause has not been determined.
