New COVID cases low in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce region seems to currently have the spread of COVId-19 under control. For the third day in a row, The Health unit reported now new cases of the virus. There are ten active cases and two residents are hospitalized with the virus. 79.5 percent of the 12+ population is fully vaccinated.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reports four residents are fighting the virus in hospital. Public Health added 14 new cases in the region today, four of them in Wellington. 82.4% of eligible residents are fully vaccinated.

In Huron Perth 77.8% of the eligible population is fully vaccinated.  Huron Perth normally releases updated numbers the afternoon after updates are released by the province in the morning. However, the province did not release updated COVID 19 numbers Thursday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
