Wanted teen turns herself in

A 14-year-old girl who was wanted in connection with an assault investigation has turned herself in.

Police said she showed up at CKPS headquarters and was later released with a future court date.

Wanted man arrested at Chatham motel

A 40-year-old Chatham man who was wanted for failing to attend court has been arrested after police were called to respond to a complaint at a motel on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Police said they spoke with the man and told him to follow the rules of the motel after they received a report of an unwanted person there on Sunday.

Officers said that's also when they learned that the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

He was arrested and later released with a future court date.

Police allegedly find drugs on man who had a stolen bicycle

A 25-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after Chatham-Kent police allegedly found a stolen bicycle and some suspected illegal drugs in his possession.

Police said an officer on general patrol found the man with the bike on McNaughton Avenue East early this morning and arrested him.

While the man was being searched, officers also allegedly found some suspected methamphetamine on him.

Officers said the man, who was also wanted for failing to attend court, was charged and later released with a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
