Suspect arrested for pointing firearm at another driver

A 34-year-old from Dryden, Michigan is facing charges after allegedly pointing a firearm at another driver on Walpole Island First Nation.

Lambton OPP, and Walpole Island Police were called to River Road at around 7:30 p.m. October 1.

Police said a suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Jordan Jones is charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unauthorized possession of prohibited or restricted firearm and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

The accused was being held in custody following a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
