Shed fire in Wallaceburg costs $200K in damage

There is not much left of a large shed that caught ablaze in Wallaceburg fire early Wednesday evening.

According to officials with the Chatham-Kent Fire Department, crews were called to a property on Running Creek Road at around 5:30 p.m. for a fire inside a dry shed approximately 25 by 40 feet in size.

No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters were able to get the fire out, but the structure sustained severe damage as a result.

All contents of the shed were lost and damage is estimated around $200,000. Investigators say the cause of the fire was deemed accidental.
