UCC students collect food for local charities

The shelves at Outreach for Hunger in Chatham and Wallaceburg ROCK Ministries are a little more full thanks to some local high school students.

Students at Ursuline College Chatham recently collected over 1,000 food items through a recent Halloween food drive.

"Special thanks to our UCC Cares Club for organizing this event, which will provide help for many people in our community," said Ray Power, Principal of Ursuline College.

The food drive ran for five days leading up to Halloween. An informal competition between the grades saw the Grade 12 students bring in nearly half the total number of food items that were collected.
