Single-vehicle crash leads to outstanding warrant arrest

A 38-year-old man wanted by police for an outstanding bench warrant was arrested after crashing his car on Caledonia Road in Chatham Friday night.

The man was taken to police headquarters where he was also charged with careless driving.

He was released with a future court date.

Domestic assault complaint leads to arrest 

A 32-year-old man has been arrested after police received a complaint for domestic assault Saturday morning.

Police said the man was arrested for assault and two counts of failing to comply.

The man is being held for a bail hearing.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
