Police make arrests on outstanding warrants 

A 28-year-old man, who was previously wanted for an outstanding warrant, was arrested after being found on King Street Saturday morning.

Police said he was also in possession of suspected fentanyl and was further charged with possession of a controlled substance.

He was released with a future court date on December 9, 2021.

On Saturday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police arrested an 18-year-old on Prince Street on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend for a DNA order.

He was later released with a future court date on December 7, 2021.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Raleigh Street Sunday morning after failing to comply with her release order.

She was held pending a bail hearing.

Minor arrested for public intoxication 

Chatham-Kent police were called to a disturbance at a residence on Centre Side Road after an 18-year-old male allegedly started causing a scene, early Sunday morning.

Police said the teen ran into a cornfield and was found later by an officer.

He was arrested and later released from custody when he was sober.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
