Chatham-Kent police conclude investigation into serious crash near Dresden

A Toronto woman is facing several charges after an investigation into a serious two-vehicle crash near Dresden earlier this year.

On Tuesday, Chatham-Kent police reported that a 27-year-old East York woman has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and stunt driving.

She is alleged to have struck the car of a Dresden woman on Dawn Mills Road near Croton Line in the afternoon of June 9, 2021.

The 27-year-old suspect and the 64-year-old Dresden woman driving the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. They have both since been treated and released from the hospital.

Police say the damage was pegged at $50,000. The East York woman will be in court on Wednesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
