Active COVID case count unchanged

The active COVID-19 caseload is unchanged at 43.

Lambton Public Health reported five more confirmed cases of the virus Thursday as well as five more resolved cases.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 4,250 confirmed infections, 4,255 recoveries and 71 deaths locally.

There are four active outbreaks, unchanged from Wednesday.

Bluewater Health had seven COVID-positive patients in hospital.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
