Active COVID caseload up by two

The active COVID-19 caseload in Sarnia-Lambton has increased by two to 46.

Sunday, Lambton Public health reported five new infections along with three resolved cases.

Since the pandemic began in March 2020, there have been 4,273 confirmed cases of the virus, of which 4,154 have been deemed resolved.

The death toll is unchanged at 73 and there are still four active outbreaks in the community.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
