COVID cases continue to climb at Brigden Public School

The number of COVID-19 cases at Brigden Public School continues to climb.

According to the Lambton Kent District School Board COVID-19 Advisory page, there are now seven student cases and two staff cases linked to the school.

The outbreak, declared at the elementary school on November 4, is one of four in the community, according to Lambton Public Health.

In its daily update Monday, the health unit reported no new cases of the virus and the caseload since the start of the pandemic is at 4,273.

The number of resolved cases increased by eight to 4,162, lowering the active case from 46 to 38.

Bluewater Health had six COVID-positive patients in hospital, down one from Friday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
