Volunteers needed for Relay For Life

The Canadian Cancer Society is in need of volunteers for the 2022 Relay For Life event in Sarnia.

The fundraiser isn't until June 11, but preparation work Is already underway.

Volunteer Communications Lead Melissa Schilz says Relay For Life is always a popular event.

"Obviously, with COVID, in the past couple of years we've had to hold the event virtually," said Schilz. "We still had really great turnouts online. In 2021, we actually did surpass our fundraising goal locally. We raised almost $56,000 just locally, which is amazing."

Available positions include Community Outreach Lead, Entertainment Coordinator, Relay Director, Site Lead, Food and Beverage Coordinator, and more.
