Chatham-Kent house fire causes $300,000 in damages

An overnight house fire in Chatham-Kent has left a home with an estimated $300,000 in damages.

Firefighters from Chatham responded to the blaze at 40 Gray Street just before midnight Friday.

When crews arrived on scene, heavy smoke and flames were visible from the multi-unit building and became deep-seated within the structure, making it difficult to put out.
